Chapter Three Introduction
Welcome to the Web Accessibility part of the course.
You might wonder why you should care about 'accessibility' in Web design. To understand why accessibility is an important aspect of Web site design, let's take a look at Webster's definition of 'accessibility:'
accessibility: The quality of being accessible, or of admitting approach; receptibility
Wouldn't your business be rather unsuccessful if it was hard to access, tough to approach or unreceptive? Therefore, accessibility is an important factor as good accessibility means more people will be able to do business with you.
In this section of the course, I'm going to discuss the facts of accessibility, how to make your Web site more accessible, and how good accessibility can improve your online business.
